During my teenage years in Bangladesh, I ran a thriving pet rescue and adoption center where I bred and sold exotic birds and fulfilled custom orders for dogs, cats, and aquarium fish. Later on, I discovered the profitability of selling aquatic plant stems and cuttings, which led me to shift my business model to an online-exclusive one during the pandemic. To make the most of this small stream of income, I automated processes like water changes and fertilization using Arduinos and Raspberry Pis and streamlined customer service with open source marketing applications like ChatPion.
